All masks/face coverings are nonmedical. This product is not meant as a replacement for
medical grade Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
In matters where PPE is recommended
you should consult your healthcare professional. If you would like more information and/or recommendations on medical and nonmedical masks as well questions or concerns about nonmedical mask options that are best for you, please visit the center for disease control (CDC) website and/or consult your healthcare provider.
Please remember that use of nonmedical face masks (coverings) is not intended to replace other recommended measures to
stop the community spread of COVID-19, (and/or other illness)
such as social distancing, washing your hands and refraining
from touching your face.
I am in no way making medical claims, recommendations, and/or suggestions nor am I responsible for the use/misuse of this nonmedical mask and/or mask/nonmedical mask attachments and/or accessories. I am in no way recommending nor responsible for the use of nonmedical masks/face coverings or the materials used for/with this nonmedical mask including but not limited to, filters, nose bridges, cleaners, lanyards, other accessories, etc.
Products with Long cords such as but not limited to elastic, fabric ties, lanyards etc. present strangulation hazards. Children should always be supervised with these types of products. Not intended for children under 3 years of age.
The decision to use this mask (covering) is solely your own. By choosing to wear/use nonmedical masks and accessories you are assuming all responsibility/repercussions associated or as a result of the use/misuse of these products. Shoestrings & Lemonade and all its affiliates, owners/operators etc. will not and cannot be held responsible.
For health and safety reasons nonmedical masks, and mask accessories such as (but not limited to); lanyards, leashes, nose straps etcetera are not returnable. Your satisfaction is important to me, if for any reason you have questions or concerns about your purchase please contact me directly.
Where do you get your materials?
That is a great question! I am proud to support small local businesses like myself. I strive to offer as many sourced and made in the USA materials as possible. I strive for quality materials and ingredients, because of this my costs are often much higher, but the quality and community support is absolutely worth it!
FABRIC;
Many, if not most, of my fabrics come from small local quilting shops and small quilt shops throughout Maine. Occasionally some specialty fabrics or custom order fabrics will come from a small seller on etsy or from a USA based manufacturer.
BEADS;
My pony beads are manufactured in New Jersey by a small bead company. I even offer an ecofriendly bead made from plant-based material also made at the same manufacturer in New Jersey USA.
ELASTIC;
Most of my elastic is a knit elastic sourced from a manufacturer in California, along with my twill fabric tape. The rest of my elastic is purchased from local retailers and have a variety of origins depending on the size and type.
MISC. SUPPLIES;
aluminum nose straps, thread, needles, etc. most misc. supplies, and tools I purchase from local quilt shops or other local retailers.
Do you accept custom orders?
I am happy to accept custom orders!
I make a variety of items such as, nonmedical masks, table runners, placemats, knitted hats, knitted blankets, costumes, scratch baked goods and much more! Returns/ Exchanges
I want you to be happy with your purchase if you have questions or concerns about a purchase please reach out by email, messenger, text, or phone.
Retail Purchases:
Some retail purchases may be eligible for return, you must contact me within 7 days of receiving your order to discuss the return/replacement/refund options available to you.
Custom orders or Preorders;
Due to the nature of custom and preorders, we are unable to cancel/change/or edit any orders once they are submitted. Please double check your order and make sure it is correct before submitting. Refunds or returns will only be issued if the finished product is imperfect or damaged (see imperfections below). We reserve the right to replace your item first; a refund may be given if we find that we have made an error. You must report any issue within 7 days of receiving your order. After this period, we reserve the right to deny compensation or replacement. All refunds will be to your original form of payment or by store credit.
Imperfections:
The product(s) you receive might vary slightly from the product picture due to the nature of your product(s) being 100% handmade and handmade to order.
The beauty of imperfections:
Please understand that all my products in my store are handmade, and handmade items, by nature, have imperfections. Although we are thorough, there are inconsistencies based on the creative nature, each item will look a little different from the next.
Our items have natural and unique imperfections. Our items are created in home with genuine love and care. Any item you purchase is one of a kind. There are no two items in our shop that are exactly the same. Even if the fabric is from the same lot, the unique patterning of colors will always make each item beautifully different.
All imperfections/shortages must be reported to us within 7 days following the delivery of your package.

For health and safety reasons, masks and mask accessories cannot be returned. If you have any questions or concerns to the quality, fit or other of your mask please contact me to discuss your needs. Any problems with a mask order must be reported within 7 days of receiving your order.
Cupcakery
Cupcakery- What is your Deposit & Cancellation Policy?
A 50% deposit of your total order is required to reserve your date. In the event of cancellation, your deposit is non-refundable. The balance for small orders will be due the day before pickup unless prior agreement has been made, wedding and large orders, two weeks before pickup.

By providing a deposit; you are acknowledging that the information provided on your quote is correct, you are agreeing to be financially responsible for the total balance of the order, you are agreeing to all terms and conditions listed on your quotes, as well as our general terms and policies.
How do I order Baked goods/Confections?
We are a home based, hobby cupcakery, we are limited by the orders we are able to accommodate. Orders are taken on a first-come first-serve basis, so it is advised to book early to avoid disappointment. To give your cupcake art the time it deserves, we prefer to book two weeks in advance, and three months for weddings. Depending on the current schedule and workload, we may be able to accommodate orders at short notice. Please contact us to discuss the details and we’ll do our best to help you.
How do I get my Confections
Because we are a small home bakery orders must be picked up from us directly at a mutually convenient time. When picking up your sweets make sure you have a clean, flat surface to set your bakery boxes on while driving, or plan to have a passenger hold the boxes. In the summer months, it is important to chill the vehicle with air-conditioning prior to picking up your cake(s). During transport, keep your cake(s) below 72 degrees and away from direct sunlight. Please keep in mind once your order has left our possession, we are no longer liable. Please take care of your sweets.
We are not able to offer delivery currently, we apologize for any inconveniences.

What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept many forms of payment.
Visa, Mastercard, Discover, PayPal and cash in person.
When checking out on my website you will notice the payment option is set up for PayPal, DO NOT PANIC, you do not have to have a PayPal account to proceed. The PayPal platform offers a debit/credit option without requiring you to have a PayPal account. I use the PayPal check out platform for its security and protection PayPal provides for both you and me. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me to discuss your options.
